Country Club West Homeowners Association was established in January 1992 by Iowa Realty. The first plats of Country Club West and Country Club Woods were developed in the City of Clive during 1992 on the eastern most edge of Dallas County, Iowa. Country Club Woods was added to the Country Club West Homeowners Association in September 1992. Over the next several years several additional plats were added to Country Club West and Country Club Woods.
Today the Association is commonly referred to as the Country Club West/Woods Homeowners Association. There are total of 651 lots, 646 single family homes, two churches, two city parks, significant green space and a section of the Clive Greenbelt Trail (which is part of the Central Iowa Trails network) within the Association boundaries. All homeowners in Country Club West/Woods become CCWHOA members when they purchase a home within the community. Annual dues are currently $40.00 per year. Dues go towards a number of services that keep our neighborhood safe and beautiful.
The CCWHOA has its own governing set of documents in the form of covenants and by-laws. These are legal documents that lay out the guidelines for the Association and for our community--you can think of them as the “rules of the neighborhood”. The by-laws determine how the HOA operates and the covenants govern what you can and can’t do with respect to your home. Benefits that come from having covenants and an HOA to enforce them are numerous. Country Club West/Woods HOA seeks to preserve and enhance the community by providing well-maintained common areas in the development, an added layer of support to homeowners in dealing with neighborhood property issues and assistance in the deterrence of nuisance activity.
